Rescued from Downey Animal Shelter -- Los Angeles, CA
Adopted November 24, 2017
This little senior fella found himself in a tough situation: dropped off at a high capacity shelter south of Los Angeles. He was gnarly looking too: dreadlocked fur, infected scabby skin, fox-tails embedding his skin and infected toenails. His front teeth are worn down from gnawing hard objects or metal. His teeth were very uncomfortable-- his whole body looked very uncomfortable!
Above photo is Downy Shelter Intake. Middle photo is after first grooming. Right photo is Roosevelt in the shelter kennel waiting for a rescue.
3 baths and 2 shave downs later and we have ourselves a significantly happier dude!
What we know about Roosevelt so far:
- Very chill and quiet.
- He is so sweet and gentle and kind.
- Maybe 11 years old.?
- Possible doxie/spaniel mix.
