WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE CHARLES!

Meet FREEDOM FLYER CHARLES - one of the eleven Cocker Spaniels who were rescued from a puppy mill.

Camp Cocker Rescue was contacted by KDS, a rescue organization in South Korea, asking us if we might be able to take eleven cocker spaniels that they rescued from a puppy mill closure. There were twenty seven dogs in total, and we of course said YES!

These dogs were living in cruel conditions and sadly, the breeder had debarked them all. 💔💔💔

The eleven dogs that Camp Cocker is taking in have booked their flights and are arriving here in Los Angeles in small groups - beginning the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Charles is estimated to be about 8-10 years old, is neutered, vaccinated, and weighs 20 pounds. He has dry eye in his left eye and will need daily eye drops to treat it. He is good with other dogs, and he’s a little shy with new people.

Charles’ foster mom reports that:

• Charles is still is decompressing, but he’s becoming more playful and dog-like over time. He is playing with toys now.

• He's eating and pooping fine.

• He sleeps through the night.

• Charles's eyes are looking better with the prescribed eye drops.

• We are still working on potty training and potty walks. He much prefers going pee pee in his party pants 10 minutes after we come back from a walk. 🤣🤣 We will continue to work on structuring his potty breaks. This past weekend was a bit of a bust with all the rain. He hasn't pooped in the house though!

Charles is being fostered in the Los Angeles area.
