Aaron
Adopted SEPTEMBER 2023!
Aaron’s Story:
At approximately 6-8 years of age, this one-eyed cutie flew to America as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. Aaron was one of eleven dogs we’d rescued from a puppy mill there and so required patient potty training. In addition to the eye enucleation surgery (necessary due to painful, bulging glaucoma, and which we were happy to pay to have done prior to his travels so that he would be more comfortable), Aaron also needed to be treated for hookworm (an intestinal parasite similar to tapeworms and roundworms). He’s a very sweet and loving cocker spaniel with a nice, calm energy level. Aaron loves to be wherever the people are and also enjoys hanging out with other doggies!
Now named Crockett, he is absolutely fitting in and picked up on the routines in his new home very quickly. His family avoids using the crate as he just flips out in it. He’d spent his entire life in a filthy cage at the puppy mill he was rescued from and they can only imagine the PTSD he suffers in the crate. Crockett loves food and snacks and his tail is always wagging a mile a minute. He sleeps with his mom every night and cries when she leaves for work. He must be overjoyed to be a beloved member of a such nice family now, just as he deserves.
Crockett enjoys carrying toys around and one of his new dog siblings, an energetic rottweiler named Carl, is working on teaching him how to play. Their parents have no doubt that Carl will succeed!
From Crockett’s adopters: “We are grateful everyday… we love him beyond words.”
