Allison

Adopted NOVEMBER 2019!

Allison’s Story:

Tiny, fluffy, sweet, and a little timid, this adorable 10-month-old Corgi mix was rescued in October 2019 after she and her littermates were found in a shelter in South Korea when they were just babies. The shelters there struggle to find local adopters because there is still a stigma about "rescue dogs" and puppy mills are such a big business in South Korea. The malls there sell pure bred puppies for cheap, so the culture is not yet ready to embrace the idea of going to an animal shelter to adopt a dog. We are so grateful to our rescue partner, Band For Animal, for going to the shelters to try to save as many dogs as possible. Allison was the last one of her litter to find an American rescue group to take her. She flew here with another rescued doggy, named Millie.

Now called Holly, she is doing so well! Her new parents tell us that she is absolutely perfect for them, easy going and always happy. She’s a bundle of energy and her cute tail barely stops wagging. She loves to bring them toys when they get home to show them how happy she is to see them. Her favorite pastime is bird hunting. Unfortunately, she’s kind of good at it, but thankfully most get away. She really loves her big brother, a 5yr old Springer Spaniel mix named Huckleberry, and can actually keep up with him when they run full speed in the yard. Holly has fun getting every single toy out of her toy box and enjoys sleeping on the bed with her parents at night.

From Holly’s adopters: “We can’t thank you all enough for saving her! She is very special to us. We love her so much!”
