Bazel
Adopted JUNE 2020!
Bazel’s Story:
Poor Bazel was a case of severe owner neglect. Rescued from the Carson City L.A. Animal Shelter in September 2019, this guy had the worst case of matted hair we had ever seen. He was given a pain injection and sedation because the matted hair was so close to his skin and was pinching him. It took two and a half hours as 5.4 pounds of fur was shaved off of his body. He was also covered in fleas.
Something like this only happens after years of neglect. He had spent his entire life alone, living in misery and neglect as an outdoor dog. Because he was never socialized, Bazel does not like other dogs and needed a home where he would be the only pet. Because of this, it took quite some time to find him just the right home.
Bazel (or as we like to call him, Razzle Dazzle Bazel!) has come such a long way since being rescued and getting his fresh start in life! Though he was extremely timid and nervous around people at first, he LOVES people now and is super friendly and affectionate. His new family respects and adores him just the way he is. He loves playing with toys, getting belly rubs and snuggling, playing in the backyard, and going to the park.
