BonBon

Adopted AUGUST 2022!

BonBon’s Story:

Beautiful BonBon joined Camp Cocker as one of our Freedom Flyers in July 2021. She was originally rescued from South Korea, where she’d been very sick. It took months to get BonBon well enough to travel the U.S., but she finally arrived here in March 2021. This lovely gal was up for adoption for over a year due to her health issues and some challenges with potty training. BonBon had to have her gall bladder removed and will need liver support and rechecks at an internist every six months for the rest of her life. She was also diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, as well as an AV heart block that was discovered during her first surgery, which means that she will require the involvement of a cardiologist for any procedure that requires anesthesia. She’s a sweet senior gal, roughly 12 years of age at the time of her rescue, but is still vibrant, peppy, and full of life. She’s very affectionate and just needed someone to love and accept her.

BonBon, now Bonnie, is already a local celebrity in her new neighborhood. She enjoys visiting her mom’s favorite coffee shop with her, where everyone quickly fell in love with the sweet pup, especially the owner of the shop. Now living in beautiful Oregon, Bonnie has two nice cocker spaniel siblings, Oreo and Gracie, whom she gets along with very well. Bonnie is so lovable and easy-going, she loves to snuggle with her family and is apparently quite the velcro dog. Her compassionate new mom loves adopting senior dogs “for their sweet souls” and just knew that BonBon would be a great companion for them.

From Bonnie’s adopter: “I love her like crazy!”
