Adopted JUNE 2020!

Candy’s Story:

Candy was rescued in April 2020 as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. She is a sweet, shy little Maltese mix, between 5 and 6 years old. Candy desperately wanted to be loved, but she struggled. Because of her timidity, she tended to freeze up whenever she was pet or held. This sweetheart needed someone very patient to let her warm up on her own time.

Fortunately, Candy found a lovely forever mama who is happy to work with her timid nature. Though she is still a bit shy, once she warms up her precious personality shines. Her adopter has big plans for one day having Candy fully socialized and not so scared, but she is happy to take the time needed to get there.

Now named Zoey, this sweetheart has adapted very well to her new home. She clings to her adopter and has turned into such a little cuddler. Her mom reports that she is making friends and becoming more confident around new people. Keep up the good work, Zoey!
