Channing
Adopted APRIL 2020!
Channing’s Story:
Charming Channing was rescued from the Inland Valley Humane Society in Pomona, CA in February 2020. He was a senior boy between 10 - 12 years of age, sight and hearing impaired, and already had mature cataracts that were non-operable. He also had an eye infection, infected ears, and needed a major grooming and shave down due to his severely matted fur that was full of feces. Channing needed to have dental surgery and cherry eye surgery, as well. He was quite a mess, but we fixed him up!
Now named Leroy Brown, this old boy spends most of his time relaxing. He has a 10-year-old Cocker sister named Daisy Mae and a Labradoodle puppy named Waffles that he gets to socialize with. He enjoys playing with toys and rolling around in his dog bed scratching his fuzzy back. His mom makes sure Leroy sees a canine ophthalmologist who helps keep his eyes comfortable due to his dry eye and cataracts.
Given his sight and hearing issues, Leroy Brown has had some challenges with potty training and will go potty inside if not watched carefully. He enjoys short walks because it only takes this grandpa about 10 minutes to get too tired to go on, but he loves to eat and likes snuggling on the couch with his family in the evenings.
