Cora

Adopted NOVEMBER 2019!

Cora’s Story:

Rescued from the SEACCA animal shelter in Downey, CA this timid blonde Cocker Spaniel joined Camp Cocker in July 2019. She had terrible skin, open foxtail wounds on her paws, and ear infections. The first thing we did was give Cora a medicated bath for her crusty skin and shave her matted feet. The foxtails in her paws hurt so much that she needed a pain injection. Cora’s left ear drum was ruptured, so the vet could only clean that ear to allow it to heal. The right ear was flushed out and treated with long lasting medication and they gave Cora oral antibiotics to help treat her skin, ears and paws. After lots of vet care, lab work, a dental and a spay, this sweetheart was ready to find her forever family.

Now named Coco, she enjoys visiting the beach with her parents and taking long walks through their neighborhood. She also loves to “hunt” the birds and squirrels in the backyard (that she never catches). Coco is a little anxious with people and animals she doesn’t know, and she really dislikes things with wheels, but she is a healthy, happy girl and no longer has skin issues! It’s amazing what tender loving care will do.
