Lori Noyes loved her cocker spaniels with all her heart and soul. She even made out a specially worded trust for them. It all started with too much wine at a charity auction. A baby cocker spaniel with blue eyes and curly hair, Kirby was up for adoption. It was fate. Lori was never happier. Then she found Camp Cocker and and saw an old man who was as pretty as a sunrise,Tucker.
Lori was a giver. She would have adopted a hundred cockers if she could. Lori donated when she was flat broke. She used Camp Cocker as her charity to gift to when it was her birthday. Tucker eventually passed but lived his last years with love everlasting. Kirby is no spring chicken and I am sure he misses his mom very much. He is with his grandma. He loves her long fingernail scratches.
Lori had hard times the last 10 years, but she had what she needed, two cocker spaniels who loved her and cuddled with her and always wiggled those butts for her. Lori is with Tucker now and she will be the first to greet Kirby when his time to cross the rainbow Bridge comes. (Written by Lori’s sister)

James Genova was the embodiment of EQUALITY, JUSTICE, LOVE, and PEACE. He volunteered at a local food bank, purchased turkeys every year for families in need, and bought new toys for children for the holidays. After Russia attacked Ukraine, he traveled to Warsaw Poland to assist the Ukrainians who were in need of clothing. James helped his friends all the time and you could always count on him. Above all, he was very close with his family and his two rescue dogs, Charlie Girl and Honor, who he leaves behind. These girls were his life and were Number 1. They are family and will be cared for by his sister and brother.
In loving memory of Gary Peters
Gary Peters was clearly a lover of Cocker Spaniels! To honor him, his sister Susan reached out to Camp Cocker Rescue to make a monthly donation in his memory. Thank you, Susan. And to Gary, thank you for brightening our world with your love of dogs!
In loving memory of Sheila Jameson
Sheila Jameson, who recently passed from cancer, was a beloved art teacher for over 28 years in the City of Haverhill, Massachusetts. She loved all of her students (600 each school year) and she inspired so many of them with her encouragement and patience. She loved all animals but was truly devoted to her Cocker Spaniels. Her fur babies were Muffy, Rosie, Hurley (pictured) and Timmy. Camp Cocker was a favorite of Sheila's and was remembered through her estate. (Written by Ellen Jameson, Sheila’s mother)
Beth Slepian was a long-time follower of Camp Cocker Rescue, as well as a monthly donor. She knew all of our dogs by name, and shared with us that our dogs brought her much joy. After her passing, Beth’s husband contacted us to set up a new monthly donation in Beth’s honor.
