Ducky
Adopted SEPTEMBER 2021!
Ducky’s Story:
This energetic beagle girl joined Camp Cocker in June 2021 as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. She is super friendly, smart, and eager to please. Ducky is also very curious and loves to follow her powerful beagle nose wherever it takes her. We’re thankful to our rescue partners at Korean K9 Rescue for bringing her into our lives so that we could find her the best possible forever home.
Ducky’s new family was so excited to meet her that they came all the way from Idaho to drive her home. Ducky is an excellent passenger in the car and she had some fun adventures on her trip! She and her parents enjoyed their first in-bed snuggles together and she got lots of pets and belly rubs. After a tour of her new home and yard, Ducky took off sniffing. She has lots of things to smell in her new space, including the two horses who live directly behind them!
She LOVES going on long walks, quickly began making herself comfortable on the couch, and her mom and dad tell us that she is very cuddly. They’ve started to see more of her personality emerge as she becomes more confident and comfortable with them. Ducky loves her food and eagerly scarfs up breakfast, then goes back and licks the bowl periodically throughout the day just in case she missed any. She has a doggy cousin whom she has frequent play dates with and the two have become great buddies, taking turns dragging the toy-of-the-day around while the other chases them.
From Ducky’s adopters: “We really can’t thank you enough for matching us with Ducky –and for all the work that went into rescuing her - we know it’s a labor of love! She’s a wonderful dog and we’re so excited to have her in our lives!”
