Gizmo

Adopted JANUARY 2024!

Gizmo’s Story:

This cutie with the adorable freckles and underbite joined Camp Cocker as one of our Freedom Flyers in November 2023. Thanks to a small rescue group known as Dasom, he’d been rescued from a pet store in South Korea that had closed down. The poor animals had been left behind after the closure and were discovered with no food or water. Dasom reached out to our rescue partners known as Cocker Spaniel Friends, who contacted us to help Gizmo. A little shy and very unsure of the world around him, he slowly learned to walk on a leash, use stairs, and generally overcome his fear of new sounds and situations. He has come so far since his rescue!

Estimated to be 2-4 years of age and now weighing only 15 pounds, we believe him to be a cavalier king charles mix. Gizmo is a happy tail-wagger and food enthusiast! He’s a curious boy who gets along great with other dogs and even cats. He’s generally a calm boy and never barks, but does enjoy rambunctiously playing with stuffed toys and (hilariously) gets the zoomies where he runs and twirls! He craves affection and loves to snuggle, making him the perfect little lap dog.

Now known as Bubba (Hubba Bubba), he is showered with love and affection in his new home. His adopters are patiently working on his potty training and helping him to build confidence. He shares the home with some sweet and sassy yorkshire terrier sisters, who are learning to share their parent’s attention with their new brother. Bubba is a super easy going guy and is just so happy to be in a loving forever home! He enjoys eating a healthy homemade diet and his adopters are committed to keeping his weight down to avoid future health problems. Bubba loves sleeping in bed with his parents at night, who tell us he has added so much joy and laughter to their home. They enjoy walking together in beautiful Southern Oregon, where Bubba enthusiastically explores his new surroundings and watches the deer on their property with quiet curiosity.
