Gobi

Adopted DECEMBER 2023!

Gobi’s Story:

Gorgeous Gobi joined Camp Cocker in November 2023 as one of our Freedom Flyers from Mongolia. She’d been discovered outside of an apartment building there and neighbors said she had been wandering around the area for many days. Some of them had given her food, but Gobi really wanted to go inside! She followed one of our rescue partners to his car and jumped right in. She was clearly homeless and had a terrible odor, the poor girl. Gobi is a very friendly cocker mix who likes people and gets along well with other dogs. At the rescue shelter, she lived in a fenced area with a dozen other dogs and always ran to the gate to greet volunteers. She was roughly five years of age at the time of her rescue.

Gobi is an energetic girl, but her family shares that after a good walk and some backyard play she’ll get pretty sleepy. She’s very excited to see other dogs while walking and calls out to them to play with her. She and her new dog sister, Kaymak, get along great! Kaymak is a 13-year-old cocker spaniel who becomes happier and more energized around Gobi and their 5-year-old doggy cousin, Benny, whom they get to visit with regularly. Gobi’s parents tell us she’s awesome with their young daughter, as well. What a good girl!
