WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE, HENRY!

HENRY IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA

HENRY is a delightful young male Cocker Spaniel mix rescued from the San Jacinto Shelter in Riverside County on June 12, 2024.  He’s a playful, energetic pup, estimated to be between 1-2 years old, and weighs 25 pounds.

HENRY’S FOSTER PARENTS SHARE:

- Henry is a very nice boy, friendly with people, not shy, but he is submissive to our current dog regarding toys, etc.
- He gets along well with other dogs, and has shown interest in a cat at the vet's office - wagging his tail and moving forward to approach the cat with no signs of aggression.
- At a recent coffee-shop visit with my friend and her dog, both dogs sat quietly together under the picnic table. totally chill!  He has a calm energy for such a young dog.
- Henry knows how to use the doggy door.
- UPDATE: It’s clear that Henry loves his people and he misses them when they leave.  His separation anxiety results in periodic howling and looking for his people when he is left alone.  His howling is not constant - it’s off and on, and he’ll howl a bit, sleep a bit, etc.  He is not destructive and does not hurt himself, but he can be loud, thus not recommended in homes with shared walls.
