Jenni
Adopted DECEMBER 2021!
Jenni’s Story:
Jenni was rescued from the South LA Shelter in September 2021. She had been hit by a car and was not weight bearing on her right hind leg. According to Jenni's shelter records, she was first in that same shelter for five days in October of 2019. She was not microchipped or spayed and the shelter did both before adopting her out to someone from the general public. In September 2021, she ended up back in the shelter with her fractures. When no one came forward to claim her, we were able take Jenni to the animal hospital for x-rays. Jenni had multiple fractures, some of which would need to heal on their own, but she was able to undergo FHO surgery done by a board certified surgeon, followed by several weeks of crate rest and physical therapy.
This sweetheart is such a nice girl, both with people and other dogs. She has the loveliest temperament, is quiet, and really likes to cuddle. Jenni did have a couple of petite seizures while in her foster home, but she is given CBD oil to help manage them and is doing well. Now known as Ruby, she slept snuggled up to her new mom the whole first night in her new home. She also enjoys going to work with her and is so happy making new friends. She just loves to be around people! Her entire family quickly became smitten with their sweet, snuggly little angel. She’s adjusted well and they are having the best time with her.
From Ruby’s adopters: “We love Ruby sooo much!“
