Mallory
Adopted JULY 2019!
Mallory’s Story:
Mallory took her Freedom Flight from South Korea and landed safely in Los Angeles, CA in March of 2019. When rescuers found her she’d been in terrible shape with an overgrown and matted coat. Our rescue partners at Korean K9 Rescue (formerly Band For Animal) didn’t even know she was part cocker spaniel until they shaved the excess fur off! Once she was shaved down, though, everyone could see what a truly beautiful girl she is. She’d been rescued from an animal hoarding situation and had to have all of her teeth extracted. Her entire mouth was rotted, so it was a long and intensive oral surgery. Approximately nine years young, wigglebutt Mallory loves to go on walks and is as perky as any younger dog. She is pint-sized, too, weighing in at less than 20 pounds with short little legs.
Mallory is doing great in her new home! She was fairly quiet while her sister Mila (CCR alumni 2015) was still alive, but her parents share that after Mila crossed the rainbow bridge, Mallory and Rossi (also CCR alumni 2015) have become a bit goofier and now play together a lot. Mallory likes to chew on squeaky toys, then throws them over her head and pounces on them. She has a big dog attitude and advises the other neighborhood dogs to steer clear of her yard. In spite of her toothlessness, Mallory is a definite foodie and dances for each meal. Her family has gone on some road trips together and say Mallory is always eager to go, and she’s quiet while in the car and well-behaved in the hotels. She is cuddly and easy going, loves taking walks and napping, and is a happy, smart little gal!
