Matteo’s Story:

Matteo is a darling little Terrier who was rescued from a huge hoarding situation in South Korea known as Aerinwon. Camp Cocker has taken in several Aerinwon dogs and we’ve found that most of them are very timid and are high flight risks. Between 4-5 years of age, Matteo is a timid boy, but he’s also incredibly sweet, calm, and is great with other dogs. Finding the right adopters for our Freedom Flyer dogs is so important so that they can be set up for success.

Matteo (now Mateo) is in a wonderfully loving home now! He bonded with his new mom very quickly (she held him in the car all the way home) and he enjoys sleeping right by her head. Mateo now has an awesome big brother, named Dude, whose lead he tends to follow. Mateo and Dude are best friends - the two dogs chill together, eat together, walk together, and even though Dude has a hard time keeping up with walks in his wheelchair, Mateo is so patient with him. The boys eat a delicious home cooked plant-based diet and his parents report that Mateo is a big fan of quinoa and broccoli with nooch on it! He enjoys daily long walks and loves getting baths! He’s becoming more confident all the time and likes going on adventures with his family.
