Nabi is our newest Freedom Flight Rescue dog from South Korea.  On September 25th,  2019, South Korea’s largest private shelter known as Aerinwon, was shut down by law enforcement officials.   Aerinwon had been in operation for 20 years and hoarded up to 3,000 dogs there at a time.  Nabi was one of 1,143 dogs evacuated in September from the filthy, devastating conditions.

Nabi was at the bottom of the pack hierarchy when she was in Aerinwon.  This means she was bullied and often attacked by other dogs. When our partners Korean K9 Rescue saw the photo of Nabi, in which she was trembling at the corner of the cage, they couldn't ignore signs of fear in her and decided to rescue her.
At their rescue center, Nabi developed separation anxiety and even attempted to escape from her kennel when no one was around. Nabi used to easily get jumpy even by soft sounds and would freeze up when walking.

Nabi gradually learned to walk together and get cuddled up via playful training and socialization processes. It took almost half a year, but now she is all set to find her forever home. She will arrive at LAX on Friday and we will take her straight to our vet.  She is a momma dog who had litters at the shelter, and has mammary tumors that need to be examined.
