Ollie
Adopted JUNE 2021!
Ollie’s Story:
This darling boy joined Camp Cocker in June 2021 after he had been hit by a car while running loose as a stray. He was not weight bearing on his back left leg and although his owners had come to claim him from the shelter, they decided to relinquish him after discovering that the leg would likely need surgery. We are so grateful that the SEAACA Animal Shelter sent out an email just hours before euthanasia so that we could save Ollie! He is the sweetest, snuggliest little dog. Sadly, Ollie’s x-rays showed that his injuries were likely a few weeks old and the bones had already calcified and healed incorrectly. Ollie's soft tissue around his knee area was also destroyed, and the bones in his leg were too shattered for the surgeon to be able to save it. Amputation was the only option.
Ollie immediately adapted to being a tripod and his tail never stopped wagging! His amazing new family drove from Northern California to get him and absolutely could not wait to welcome him into their home. They love taking him on long walks, where he wows everyone with his speed on three legs! He has two new doggy siblings, Annie and Jax, and the three make the cutest trio. Ollie and Jax quickly became BFFs and are pretty much inseparable, constantly playing and sleeping together. Ollie is super treat-motivated, so his parents are excited to train him. He likes to follow them from room to room and enjoys snuggling with them on the couch. He’s living the good life he deserves!
From Ollie’s adopters: “Thank you again to Camp Cocker for bringing Ollie into our lives! We can tell we'll have many, many fun years ahead with him! He is completely perfect!”
