WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT PEPE:
Pepe is a Freedom Flyer from South Korea!
Pepe, a beautiful young black male Cocker Spaniel mix, arrived from South Korea on Monday, June 6. Now that he has been seen by our veterinarian, we can estimate his age to be approximately 2-4 years old. He currently weighs 19 pounds, and he should put on another 3 pounds to be at his ideal weight.
Pepe’s South Korean rescuers tell us that this handsome young man is very sweet and docile! The Camp Cocker volunteers who picked him up at the airport on Monday agree! He is indeed sweet, docile, loves people, and gets along well with other dogs!
Pepe tested positive for an infection called anaplasmosis, which originated from a tick bite, when he was in South Korea, The recommended treatement is a 2-4 week course of an antibiotic (doxycycline) which was initiated on June 14.
