Petunia
Adopted APRIL 2021!
Petunia’s Story:
Camp Cocker rescued this beautiful little Spaniel mix from the Riverside Animal Shelter in April 2020. She had been hit by a car and was reportedly not using her back legs. We sought immediate medical attention for Petunia, expecting an expensive emergency surgery to be required. Her left front leg was slightly swollen and x-rays revealed that she had three fractured ribs, but she was simply prescribed crate rest and pain medication as no surgery was necessary. Estimated to be around one year old, Petunia quickly began walking and wagging her tail. Despite the trauma she’d faced, she is a very happy, friendly little girl.
Lovingly named Lily, she lives with a wonderful family who adores her and they say her transition into the new home was seamless. This resilient girl is playful and energetic! She now has a doggy brother, named Dexter, whom she gets along with perfectly, as well as a little human brother who is just crazy about her. Lily loves running zoomies around the yard and barking at the birds. Her parents say that she is the happiest little girl!
From Lily’s adopters: “We couldn’t be happier with her.”
