WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE, POPPY POPCORN

Poppy Popcorn is a female Poodle mix Freedom Flyer from Mongolia who arrived in Los Angeles on August 28, 2024. She was discovered by Sanaa (one of our favorite local rescuers in Mongolia) in a ravine during the winter. She was perched on a block of ice - entangled, starving, and dehydrated. She was covered in dirt, weary, and pregnant. Now she’s ready to start her new life across the ocean with the help of Camp Cocker Rescue.

Poppy Popcorn is currently estimated by our veterinarian to be about 5-6 years old, and at 27 pounds she could probably lose a pound or two. She’s described by her rescuers to be a low-maintenance dog - fun, sweet, quiet, sleeps through the night, loves people, is good with dogs, and has had no potty accidents in the house.

Poppy does have mild separation anxiety and may paw at the door when alone. Her fosters have started working with her so she’ll be less anxious when they leave, and she’s been making progress.
