WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE RIVER! 

• River is a very handsome young male Cocker Spaniel, estimated to be about 2-4 years old. He weighs 22 pounds.

• He was rescued from the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter on August 30, 2022. He came to the shelter with bilateral cherry eyes and infected bite wounds around the back side of his neck, presumably from a dog attack. His cherry eyes and bite wounds were treated at the shelter, but the bite wounds were not healing.

• We took River to the VCA West Los Angeles Specialty Hospital and he had additional surgery to debride his wounds and drain the infection, and was re-sutured. He just had his drain removed and is doing very well! He is due to have his sutures removed in the next week or so - likely by Sept 18.

• River is sweet and playful, typical of a young dog. He gets along well with people and other dogs. He has also been observed to play nicely with children who have good doggy-manners.

• River is in the Los Angeles area.
