Scout
Adopted august 2020!
Scout’s Story:
Rescued from the Riverside Shelter in January 2020, this sweet 6-month-old puppy had been hit by a car and sustained a fractured leg, which we immediately had surgically repaired. During his recovery from the surgery, Scout developed a luxating patella (a dislocated kneecap), which required another surgery and further crate rest so that he could heal. This poor guy just wanted to be a playful puppy!
After several weeks, Scout was ready to begin his physical therapy journey. His therapy included a variety of exercises to improve the range of motion in his joints, massage, laser therapy and walking on a treadmill. He quickly became a favorite patient at the rehab facility as his silly puppy nature began to break through his shy exterior.
It took several months to find Scoutie the perfect home, but he is now living his absolute best life with a super supportive mommy and the funnest brother ever, named Kei. The two boys love playing games and doing zoomies around their yard together. The fun never ends!
Fun fact: Scout’s brother, Kei, was also adopted from Camp Cocker Rescue!
