Simba
Adopted JANUARY 2021!
Simba’s Story:
This sweet senior boy with the A+ snaggletooth was rescued from the Baldwin Park animal shelter in March 2020. Estimated to be around eleven years old, Simba had awful skin and kennel cough. His bloodwork also showed elevated white blood cells and globulins, and he had crystals in his urine. It’s heartbreaking when we rescue these senior dogs who have never been to a vet perhaps ever in their life.
Simba now has his own dermatologist who helps to manage his allergies and chronic skin problems and he’s looking and feeling so much better! He’s a happy-go-lucky guy, super sweet and friendly with just a pinch of spunkiness. It took quite some time for us to find an appropriate adopter for this adorable boy because of his ongoing skin issues.
He and his new family are working hard on his potty training, but Simba’s mom says he is such an incredibly sweet boy and she’s surprised by how well behaved he is. They enjoy taking long walks and going out to dinner together. His tail never stops wagging!
From Simba’s adopter: “He's so well behaved and the biggest lovebug!”
