Skittles
Adopted august 2020!
Skittles’ Story:
Skittles was one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea in August 2020. At about nine months of age, she was flown to Los Angeles, CA with another one of our rescued dogs named Dot, whom we believe to be her sister. Skittles was a little timid when she first arrived, but is incredibly sweet and warmed up quickly. She really likes to run and play with the other dogs where she was boarding.
Her new parents have named her Shasta, after Mt. Shasta, and tell us that she mostly spends her days playing with her adorable new brother, Henry. They have so much fun running at the dog beach together; although, Shasta’s not a big fan of actually going into the water. She does great on road trips and loves exploring in general. This smarty pants quickly caught on to her potty training and already knows so many commands, including “wait,” “let’s go,” “sit,” and “lie down”. Her dad says she’s already the best at walking on a leash… and he should know, he’s a dog trainer!
Shasta adjusted very quickly to her new home. When she’s is not napping or playing with her brother, she is playing with her toys in the living room, where she loves pulling them out carefully one by one. When she wants pets, Shasta makes it known by making monkey noises and grabbing at you with her paws... not pawing at you, but actually curling her little claws and grabbing your hands towards her.
From Shasta’s adopters: “She's proven a perfect fit… we love her so much!”
