Squid’s Story:

It doesn’t get much cuter than a cocker spaniel puppy! Squid was relinquished to Camp Cocker Rescue at just 9 weeks of age after his previous owners realized how much work a little puppy is. They had purchased the tiny boy from a backyard breeder on Craigslist, so we were grateful when the young couple decided to do the right thing and find a rescue to help him out. Squid is sweet, charming, and of course a little mischievous! He is healthy now, but because Squid is a purebred, we can almost guarantee he will have some sort of genetic medical issues come up at some point in his life.

Squid’s family fell in love with him at first sight. The young pup was quickly welcomed into his new pack, and (fun fact!) both of his new dog brothers, Boomer and Oliver, were also adopted from Camp Cocker Rescue! Squid’s parents say that he is a classic puppy, but that he is so good... so good with their kids, getting along well with Boomer and Ollie, and just loving life. They adore him, and despite his obsession with hoarding and chewing their shoes and socks, they can’t get enough of the little man and his awesome personality.

Squid is quite a little ham and always keeps his family laughing. He’s super smart, too! They’ve been training Squid to ring a bell on the door when he has to go out to potty, and he’s already ringing them on his own when he needs to go.
