Teddy
Adopted OCTOBER 2022!
Teddy’s Story:
This handsome guy flew to America in December 2021 as one of our Freedom Flyers from South Korea. Thanks to our rescue partners known as the Cocker Moms, he had been rescued from a kill shelter in YangJu. Cutie cocker Teddy (aka Teddy Bear, as his foster mom lovingly called him) was 6-7 years of age and just the nicest boy! He had a surgical consult with a specialist regarding two luxating patella, but thankfully did not require surgery. Teddy also had several diagnostics done at our vet, as well as with a board certified internist, due to excessive drinking/urination that all came back as inconclusive. After seeing a holistic vet and being told that it might be a behavioral issue, Teddy’s foster mom began keeping a daily log of the water input/urine output to try to find a pattern. We learned that if the water bowl is in the same room as Teddy, he drinks more, but if he has to go to another room to get water, he drinks a normal amount. It was a relief to get to the bottom of the mysterious behavior. Teddy had already waited so long to be adopted.
Teddy’s new mom flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to adopt him. He and his family are enjoying getting to know each other and Teddy is trusting them more each day. They have discovered that he is great at catching treats tossed his way and really likes playing ball in the house. The boy loves tennis balls! He is a very happy dog and is always making his adopters laugh. Teddy loves his stuffed bear, too. He’s very good in his crate overnight and brings his bear out when he gets up in the morning. He’s great on leash and enjoys fast-paced walks with his family. This sweet, happy-go-lucky boy always has a waggly tail and loves being near his people, especially when he’s getting butt scratchies.
We just love a happy… beginning!
