Tink
Adopted NOVEMBER 2019!
Tink’s Story:
Beautiful Tink(er Bell) is just as precious as can be! Rescued from the Apple Valley Animal Shelter in September 2019, Tink was so matted that the shelter didn’t know what kind of dog she would look like under the years of mummified hair. Surprise! She’s a cocker spaniel. Tink had lots of mammary tumors and had to have two bilateral mastectomy surgeries done, as well as a dental with extractions. Tink is a spunky 8-year-old gal who loves people and other dogs. She’s very gentle and friendly.
Now known as Jinxy, her new family absolutely adores her. She's such a sweetheart and whenever she goes for a walk in San Fransisco, people stop them to say how cute she is. Jinxy gets along well with her papillon sister, Jia, but sometimes gets grumpy if Jia tries to jump on the couch near her. Jinxy’s parents take her to an allergist because she was scooting and scratching her ears a lot, and happily share that the recommendations they received seem to be helping her.
Jinxy's adopters cook all of her meals and say her weight has been just right. Her dad grooms her almost daily and gives her fancy Cocker haircuts when it’s needed. Jinxy always seems very relaxed during grooming and even during her baths. Talk about a new lease on life!
