Veronica
Adopted JUNE 2020!
Veronica’s Story:
Rescued from the Downey SEAACA Shelter in March 2020, we think Veronica is a 3 to 4 year old Terrier-Powderpuff mix. She is itty bitty, weighing only 9 pounds! She was rescued with a fractured jaw and the shelter was going to euthanize her because they felt she was in too much pain. Fortunately, a CT scan with a board certified veterinary dentist showed that her jaw was healing naturally and no surgery was needed. Animal control had opened an investigation because it’s suspected that Veronica may have been abused. We can’t imagine how else this little doggy could have ended up with a broken jaw.
A true lap dog, this sweetie loves to give kisses and is super affectionate. Now named Cali, her jaw has fully healed and she is living a happy life in her forever home where she is so loved and spoiled! She has a happy, wagging tail and is super duper smart. Cali quickly learned how to sit and shake a paw for her new adopters. She has so much fun getting together with her cousins, Sadie and Wally, who were also rescued by Camp Cocker Rescue!
From Cali’s mom: “Cali is the sweetest little dog! I can't imagine our home without her.”
