Waffles
Adopted MARCH 2020!
Waffles’ Story:
At about five years of age, this adorable spaniel-cavalier mix was rescued from the Palmdale Los Angeles County Animal Shelter after his previous owners had relinquished him there. Waffles is an incredibly sweet boy, very gentle and really great with everyone he meets, including other dogs and children! Waffles had some sort of trauma to one of his eyes when we’d rescued him in February of 2020 and Camp Cocker immediately sought treatment for him. There was also some concern about his low blood sugar levels. After seeking veterinary care and having him tested again, his blood sugar levels came back normal and his eye has fully healed.
Waffles is a happy, healthy boy, now living his very best life! He enjoys hiking, visiting the beach, and playing in his secure backyard. His adopters tell us that Waffles is an incredible dog. He’s never had an accident in the house, loves snuggling, knows touch, sit, down, head down, stay, bed, and leave it. He’s a very fast learner, asks for permission before jumping up on the couch and has a very mellow and sweet temperament. He LOVES greenies and is generally such a joy. All he wants is to please his adopters; unfortunately, that includes being overly protective of them. Waffles is working with a trainer to help with his protective tendencies and living a quiet lifestyle, which he seems very happy with.
From Waffles’ adopters: “Waffles is the best thing that ever happened to our family! He is absolutely everything to us and we love every single moment with him!!”
