Comet
Adopted JANUARY 2020!
Comet’s Story:
This sweetheart was 43 pounds when his owners relinquished him to a shelter in Wildomar, CA in November 2019. He was sluggish and slow moving. At 4 years of age, Comet and his brother, Dasher, had been turned in to the shelter by their former owners who’d had them since they were puppies. Their names are from the original owners so it was clear to us these were Christmas gift puppies. They both had severe ear infections and were in need medical attention and grooming.
After two months on a low calorie Fish & Pototo recipe by Just Food For Dogs, Comet was down to a healthy 33 pounds. This sweetie loves to play fetch and is never without a toy in his mouth. He now has a kitty cat friend and he’s learning how to be in a house. His first night there, he didn’t know how to go up the stairs. He wouldn’t get up on the furniture until he was invited, but now the couch is his favorite hang out!
